also known as me making up for months of not making games in ... three weeks ...

- Being discriminated against by the Britannian military.

HEADCANON MEMORY, but strongly implied. People pick on him for numerous reasons, but mostly he is an Eleven and an Eleven betraying his kind because of WHO HIS FATHER IS and this guy is someone we should shit on constantly!

... Suzaku weathered it. Of course.

- Playing with Nunnally and making frog sounds—the dinner with both her and Lelouch.

Suzaku joins Ashford and gets invited to dinner! There, he gets to surprise Nunnally with his presence and it's super cute. Afterward, he and Lelouch agree to pretend to not know each other, because they shouldn't.

... More dere for Lelouch and Nunnally, essentially.

- Being captured as a criminal for the murder of Prince Clovis and then being saved from the stay of execution, even if he wanted to die. He refuses Zero's invite to join him.

Essentially, they needed a scapegoat, so they picked Suzaku because his father was Kururugi Genbu and he's someone who works for the image of Britannia putting down the bad Elevens. Zero comes and saves him, which he doesn't want, because Suzaku is completely cool with dying. Suzaku gets asked to join their side, and he explains what he's doing and leaves.

This is something he knew about vaguely, but having the memory of the experience is important because he can recognize that Lelouch wanted his friend back all along, especially in order to get his revenge (because he understands his overall motives). It doesn't make that revenge okay, and it means Lelouch was still using the Japanese, but ... he gets it a lot better.

- Exiling all the Japanese due to them looking like Zero, understanding that he did the right thing, and the promise he makes to Zero.

Lelouch tricks Suzaku with the spartacus trick. Essentially, all of the Japanese citizens show up at the SAZ pt 2 in order to release everyone. The weirdest thing is why there's a SAZ part two, but he knows that there was something that led Lelouch and Suzaku into that scene. Lelouch asks Suzaku what's important to the Japanese, and Suzaku says their hearts. Suzaku is then forced to exile all of the Japanese, including Lelouch (who is Zero here, for the record), and he recognizes that this Zero knew he'd do the right thing here. Nunnally and Euphy wanted to forgive Zero, so he lets them go.

"Can you promise to save all the remaining Japanese?" "That's why I became a soldier." "I will believe in that promise."

What this means for Suzaku is that it, combined wth his Aather behavior, will instill a stronger sense of responsibility in helping and saving everyone. He'll understand the necessity of putting aside any darker beliefs in duty (which don't exist) and doing things the right way. He's already seen the errors of his judgment calls, so he'll hold to it more.

As a note: the flash to Euphy with the gun is excluded from this memory, but there is the flash of Nunnally with the candles.

- Interrogating Kallen with refrain and deciding that he can't be like Zero to force things out of her. ... Going back to interrogate her again, only to be beat up.

BIG FLASHING NOTE: SHIRLEY'S NAME IS EXCLUDED FROM THIS MEMORY. He will get the fact that it's someone important from Ashford, but he won't know WHO it is. It could be anyone. Mostly, I don't think the name is so much the important part

Suzaku needs to interrogate Kallen. HE DECIDES TO USE DRUGS! BAD DRUGS! He's rough and cruel and cold and he thinks it's okay, and she slaps hm and tells him off. But he's so desperate to find out, because SOMEONE HE CARES ABOUT DIED, and this shit needs to stop, and he starts disregarding his morals for the sake of finding stuff out. But then he thinks about it and goes back later and she kicks his ass.

Essentially, he realizes the error of his mistakes but there's the fact that he's willing to be such a dick that's a problem! That is not okay! More to atone for. It means he'll be a lot better at interrogation and dealing with things, because clearly this isn't the way to go. On the brightside, it'll enforce his beliefs regarding the meetings and setting up authority, because look, guys, this is what some of us do with authority. In his head.

He will absolutely try his best not to tell Lelouch about this.
